Our Projects

Lansdale garage project

Most garages are not insulated, as long as you do not mind the cold in the winter or heat of the summer this is not necessarily a bad thing. When talking about your garage, the idea to insulate it is usually a matter of preference. If their is no heating or cooling in the garage then you most likely are not losing energy. Some people insulate their garage to try and make it more comfortable during the harshest climates. For this project, the homeowner had us take out the old insulation and replace it with new insulation.

Hatfield attic insulation project

Most of the home’s energy loss happens in the attic space and is lost from the roof. This customer had blown-in insulation with very limited air sealing in their attic space. We removed all blown-in, sealed any penetrations with spray foam, and ensured there was proper ventilation by adding baffles where it was necessary. Finally we added R-38 kraft faced batt insulation.

Lansdale crawl space project

Crawl spaces are the second most important part of your home. Insulating and sealing this area of the home will stop outside air from leaking into your house. The more sealed your home is the more money you will save on energy costs. Crawl spaces should have the floor above insulated with R-19 kraft faced fiberglass batts. The brick walls of the crawl space should have Rigid foam board and the Rim joists should either have foam board or they should be insulated with spray foam. For this project the homeowner already had R-19 fiberglass insulating the floor. We came in and sprayed the rim joists with spray foam and added 2” thick rigid foam board. This sealed the crawl space to maximize energy savings.

Doylestown Garage project

This garage in Doylestown is a little different then most. The homeowner used the garage to work on cars. He had a high pitch roof that created a large area to try and heat in the winter. G3 Insulation installed reflectix Insulation across his ceiling. Essentially cutting the area that needs to be heated in half along with creating a sufficient barrier to stop that heat from leaking out.

Frequently Asked Questions

G3 Insulation is a service company. We are here to serve, if you need anything please contact us immediately. Some of our customers have simple questions they ask in order to understand the importance of insulation. These are the most common:
What does it mean when someone talks about the “R-value”?
R-value is explained as how much resistance the insulation has. The higher the resistance number the more efficient that piece of insulation is. Air molecules easily escape your home through the attic space and roof. Adding insulation with a proper R-value to your attic space will greatly improve energy costs and add value to your home.
What part of my home is most important when talking about upgrading insulation?
Their is no doubt that most of your energy loss comes from your roof. Proper air sealing and insulation with a high R-value will save you money, add value to your home, and make your home feel more comfortable.
How much money could I save by adding insulation to my home?
According to energystar.gov the EPA believes homeowners can save 15% annually on their heating and coolings costs. Total estimated costs savings are expected when having proper insulation in attics, floors above crawl spaces, and any rim joists you could access.

How long will it take to do the job?
Every job is different but in most cases our company can handle the job in a day or two. We take every effort to accommodate our customers with a time and day that can work with their schedules. Oftentimes we will be working weekends to help accommodate our customers busy schedules.
